Training, working, sleeping
Friday, August 14th, 2009That’s all I do now. Tons of work is waiting for me to do it, and I’m trying to train my body up in slow motion. Easy, carefully and progressively. I’m healthy now, and wiser than before (I hope!)
Last week I participated in the Norwegian Hovedløp – national championship for youngsters (13-16 years). As a coach, of course, and just for two days. For another four days I trained and enjoyed the art of orienteering. I finally got the opportunity to run orienteering again, after the big break. Quite interesting, but I still remember how to do the tricks with map and compass (even though my legs have forgotten how to run fast).
The plan further? Work a little bit less, train a little bit more and sleep enough. The results will come afterwards. I’m also planning to take part in the Norwegian Champs (sprint, middle dist. and relay), but the ambitions are not so high. My goal is to move through the courses with style, forget the bad form and make an optimal (for my current abillities) performance. We can talk about results first after the winter.
Next week I’m travelling to Brno in the Czech Republic on a business trip, while the whole world is concerned only about the World Champs in Hungary.
